ACM Founder, Director
Appalachian Community Meal (ACM), serves as a beacon of hope in one of America’s most impoverished states – Kentucky, tackling systemic challenges akin to those found in third-world countries. For nearly two years, ACM has transcended its role as a meal provider to become a pivotal pop-up community center. By adopting a barrier-free approach, ACM facilitates easier access to vital resources in healthcare, education, housing, and food security. Out of this humble intention to feed the hungry, a cascade of services, relationships and community support initiatives has blossomed, bringing people elbow to elbow across political and class lines to solve problems and share the wealth in their community.
